Environmental Policy
My intention is to have the least impact on our environment possible. By being aware of the consequences my actions may have on the environment I will try to reduce my impact on the environment. The environmentally-friendly option should always be selected. Lotus Lens footprint should be minimal.
I promise to always keep myself updated with regard to environmental issues and continually update and improve my environmental policy to assure sustainability.
Energy-saving
- Only use rechargeable batteries for equipment.
- Turn off or unplug all electronics that are not used.
- Travel by car only when necessary (e.g. when equipment is to heavy to carry on a train or bus, or location is impossible to reach by train or bus).
- Choose to travel by public transport such as bus, tram and train instead of car or airplane when possible.
- Set requirements for manufacturers of equipment to work towards a more sustainable environment.
- Selecting energy efficient equipment.
Reduce Waste
- Costumers receive their images through my website and their images can be downloaded from the website to reduce the need of CDs, USB-sticks etc.
- Buying good quality equipment that can be used for as long time as possible and then sell or give away outdated equipment if necessary instead of throwing it away. Alternatively, ensure that equipment is recycled in the best way.
- Print only if necessary.
- Recycling.
- Communicate mainly by phone and email instead of letters.
Respect the environment
- Choose products that can be recycled or recovered, or both.
- Collaborating with businesses and individuals who also are committed to protecting our environment.
- Work from home in order to reduce the need for travel and related emissions.
- Choosing locally produced and organic food, and abstain from eating meat.
